Joel Isackson, MD

Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. Isackson has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1999.  He successfully completed the re-certification process in 2009 and scored in the 90th percentile of doctors taking the American Board of Internal Medicine re-certification exam.  He completed his medical school training at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA in 1996, and Internal Medicine residency at UCLA Medical Center in Westwood from1996-1999, where he was chosen as one of two residents in his class to be a Chief Resident from 1999-2000.  Dr. Isackson was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSD from 2000-2002, before he started his private practice in Santa Monica.  He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at UCLA Medical School and teaches medical students in the office two ½ days per month.  Dr. Isackson volunteers on the medical education committee at the hospital and organizes continuing education conferences for physicians on the St. John’s staff.
