Danica Lomeli, MD



Dr. Danica Lomeli grew up in Southern California. She attended Stanford University, achieving Phi Beta Kappa distinction with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in religious studies. She graduated in the top 10% of her class at Stanford School of Medicine and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of her work in bioethics & the medical humanities. She subsequently completed residency in family medicine at UCLA, where she received numerous teaching awards and patient accolades. She then served as core faculty for two years at Pomona Valley, a UCLA-affiliated residency program, receiving the Guardian Angel Award.
Dr. Lomeli has extensive experience in the care of medically complex men and women of all ages. Her focus is on wellness and holistic medicine, with special concentrations in mental health, women’s health, adolescent health, geriatrics, and procedures. She is fluent in Spanish.
She is thrilled be at Westside Internal Medicine, where she works alongside a renowned group of talented and compassionate physicians. Her motto comes from Sir William Osler, “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” Dr. Lomeli enjoys building relationships with her patients and providing personalized care tailored to each individual’s values and goals.
She lives in Santa Monica with her family and enjoys hiking, reading, and exploring Los Angeles.
